I’m Mae Montero, a designer drawn to quiet details, intentional choices, and the spaces where clarity meets curiosity. I’m most interested in the in-between: where structure becomes softness, where type turns into tone, where layout starts to feel like language.
My work often begins with a feeling, an idea that unfolds through research, intuition, and form. I see design as an emotional and spatial tool, not just a visual one. White space, rhythm, and restraint play a big role in how I build. I believe what’s left unsaid can be just as powerful as what’s shown.
I gravitate toward projects that involve storytelling, systems, and the subtleties of visual communication. I’m inspired by the pace of print, the silence of structure, and the poetry of everyday things. I try to make work that’s honest, atmospheric, and made to be felt as much as it’s seen.
